Half a Full Moon is an evocative and immersive project set in the haunting remnants of an Ash Forest, where nature's equilibrium has been shattered. The narrative revolves around the aftermath of ecological devastation, where once towering Ash trees have been decimated by the invasive Ash Dieback disease, causing an environmental collapse. The forest is now a fragmented and eerie landscape, half of its former self, struggling to survive amidst the shadow of its past beauty.
The project explores themes of loss, resilience, and rebirth, as the moonlight—once a symbol of unity and fullness—now only partially illuminates the scene. The title, Half a Full Moon, reflects this state of incompleteness, the silencing of nature’s voice, and the fragile hope for restoration in an irreversibly altered world.
